This firescreen is adorned with a very rich gilded bronze decoration in the Napoleon III style. Resting on four stylized feet in the form of lion paws, the gilt bronze decoration is composed of a frieze framing the screen, topped by a small woman's head crowned with five beaded feathers. Below the female face, a decoration of acanthus leaves and ribbons descends, flanked by two garlands of flowers.
