Pair of cast iron and silvered iron andirons composed of two parts. The front part, in silver patina iron, stands on two stylized feet in the shape of a lion's paw, supporting a half-circle in which a lion stands on its two hind legs. These roaring lions are depicted in profile, raising a paw to their mouths. The second part of the chenet, in brown cast iron, also rests on two feet supporting an obelisk framed by sinuous lines and plant motifs, and topped by a peak with plant decoration. The obelisk has a red coat of arms on the lions' heads, topped by a gold cast iron band. This coat of arms could refer to the House of Noailles, an important French noble family from the Limousin. However, the heraldic lion is not represented on the family coat of arms.
