This mantel was made of Red of the North marble in the late 18th century.
Its sculpted decoration is typical of the Louis XV style, indeed, we find on the center of the serpentine entablature a very beautiful asymmetrical shell. The jambs slightly curved receive a paneled decoration.
This fireplace is sold with its original 19th century cast iron insert and with its marble floor, which is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
