Beautiful pair of Louis XV style andirons made out of gilt bronze , 19th century. It represents two children having coffee.
Andirons made after the model by Jacques Caffieri (1678-1755), son of Philippe Caffieri italian sculptor who came in Paris to work for the Cardinal Mazarin.
This model is is identified through the inventory made after Caffieri's death : "Item another fireplace garniture representing two children having coffee".
