This beautiful Louis XVI style clock with simple outlines was made by the Maison Raingo Frères in Paris around 1880. The dial is signed. Placed on a Red Griotte marble base, this gilt-bronze clock has a glass window protecting the dial. It is adorned with intertwined laurel branches and bronze tied ribbons. The pendulum is made of a detailed female mask. In the lower part of the clock, there is a low-relief of putti musicians frolicking around in the clouds.
