This mantel with very straight lines was made in the late 19th century, of statuary marble and Blue turquin marble, thus playins with the colors contrasts.
The entablature and the jambs each receive a statuary marble slab sculpted with a succession of music instruments in a ribbons tangle. We can especially recognize a lyre, bells, a trumpet, a xylophone or even a horn. These white statuary marble slabs are framed with Blue Turquin marble, thus coming to underline and giving its character to our mantel.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert but with its marble floor, which is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
