Very beautiful antique Regency style fireplace made out of Carrara marble

This exceptional Regency style antique fireplace was made at the end of the 19th century out ofwhite Carrara marble. The carved decoration of the fireplace is elaborate and rare. The entablature is decorated with a floral shell in the centre. The spandrels of the entablature are made up of small molded panels, and the corners are carved with acanthus leaves. The legs are curved and molded all over. The lower part of the legs are decorated with an acanthus leaf. The curved modallions, crowning the jambs, are decorated with curlicue, palm-leaves and flowers.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert and with the original three square metres hearth which was broken but will be restored on request.
