Louis XVI delicate white Carrara marble mantel with slightly canted scrolled acanthus leaf topped jambs rising to square rosettes. The entablature is adorned with filleted flutes. The original cast iron insert is decorated with a central medallion of flowers topped by a bow and framed by laurel leaf branches and festoons of flowers that reach out to the corners; on the sides, musical instrument trophies dangle from ribbons.
