This large Louis XVI style mantel was carved in semi-statuary marble in the second half of the 19th century. The entablature is decorated with a frieze of grecques and a vase adorned with garlands of flowers in its centre. The curved console jambs are decorated with falling acanthus leaves and friezes of ribbons.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
