This Northern red marble fireplace is from the Directoire period. Several characteristics of this period can be found in the composition of the fireplace, such as the diamond motif carved with palmettes, or the choice of a two-tone composition, very common in the Directoire period. The band is simple and rectangular. In the center, a figure stands out in white against a red background. The diamond shape also frames the palmettes and the face. On the console part of the leg, we find the same interplay of colors, highlighting the console's white motif. The remainder of the leg resembles Greek columns, a motif inherited from the classicism of the Louis XVI style. Here again, we find the two-tone base with architrave, astragalus, and column base in white marble.

This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert but with its marble floor, which is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
