This beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace made of Carrara marble subtly veinde was made in the 19th century. Richly decorated, this imposing fireplace has the typical elements of the Louis XVI style: straight lines and naturalistic decor, very finely carved thanks to the Carrara marble. Knotted laurel branches drop down on the lightly canted jambs. Other laurel branches adorn the center of the frieze on a morsel in relief. Two naturalistic rosettes decorate the ends of the frieze.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
