This beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of white Carrara marble during the 19th century. The entablature is decorated in its centre with a delicately carved acanthus leave medallion. The slighted canted and grooved jambs are curved in relief towards the top. A large carved oak leaf is placed on the curve. The tops of the jambs are carved with square rosettes.
The fireplace's sides are paneled and decorated with air vents.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. A marble floor could be made to order.
