This antique Louis XVI period fireplace was made in the 18th century in a white Carrara marble. The sculptural decoration of this fireplace is quite rich and delicate. The frieze is decorated in the center with a molded rectangular panel carved in low relief with a pattern of fruit basket with fine foliage plants. On either side of this panel are flutings with asparagus heads. The jambs of this fireplace are also fluted and carved with asparagus heads.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but these one could be made to order.
