In good condition. Aged patina and wear. Some chips. The mantel top is shallower than the sides that can be cut on demand.
This antique Napoleon III style fireplace was made in the 19th century in a beautiful Black Belgium marble. The jambs of this elegant fireplace are embellished with flutes and geometric patterns carved in relief. Small flutes also decorate the center of the frieze, paneled on both sides. At its extremities, diamond points have been carved.
This fireplace is sold with its original copper insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
