This antique Louis XVI style fireplace made out of veined Carrara marble was made during the 19th century. The jambs and the frieze they support are delicately fluted. The straight lines of this fireplace are typical of the Louis XVI style, as well as the naturalistic square rosettes adorning the ends of the frieze.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
