This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made during the 19th century in a beautiful Carrara marble. Acanthus leaves drop down on the winding jambs adorned with a beaded frieze. The fireplace’s frieze is decorated with flutings and at its ends with naturalistic rosettes typical of the Louis XVI style . The sides of the fireplace, paneled, are decorated with air vents.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
