Very slight crack in the shelf. No insert, nor hearth floor.
Very elegant Black Belgian antique marble mantel, enlivened by a series of panels, moldings and sculpture. The jambs are scrolls rising from volutes to counter volutes above, each entirely covered with an acanthus leaf drop. On the sides, the volutes curl up ending in a flower medallion. The front of the entablature has a more classical design of a central circular medallion flanked by molded panels. The cambered hearth opening is underlined by a baguette molding that runs down to the plinths. Black Belgian marble has an incomparable shine that captures light beautifully.
This fireplace is sold without any insert nor marble floor but can be made on order.
