Antique walnut mantel with ceramic from the 19th century

Beautiful walnut fireplace made during the nineteenth century. The overmantel is decorated with a porcelain lakeside scene: two ducks are shown flying over a pond. Two pillars carved in wood frame the panel. Two columns with rings rise up the jambs and support a large entablature with a decor alternating between modillions and rosettes.

Antique cast iron fireback with dogs and coat of arms

This very beautiful cast iron fireback dates back to the middle of the 16th century. It is decorated with a coat of arms made out of oak surmounted on a crescent. Two dogs hold onto this coat of arms, and it is crowned by a fleur de lys.

This nice pair of vases comes from the personal residence of Louis Lonati (at 16 rue Alphonse Mairey, in Dijon) classified in the general inventory of cultural property. The contractor Louis Lonati, concrete specialist, who participated in the construction of several buildings in Dijon, built his villa in 1926. Italian born, his house resumes the Florentine style codes with use of modern materials such as concrete, while using an Art Deco decor.

Antique 18th-century fireback with the coat of arms of the Fontaine de Biré family

Rare antique fireback made during the 18th century and bearing the coat of arms of the Fontaine de Bire family : Azure to chevron with two clovers and a sheaf the whole of gold. The Fontaine de Bire family is originating from Anjou, France. One of his most famous representatives, Marie-Sébastien-Charles-François Fontaine de Biré, asked for his bust in marble by Jean-Antoine Houdon in 1785, which can quite correspond to the date of realization of our fireback. This bust is now preserved at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, USA.

Louis XV firescreen with roses in gilt bronze

This firescreen was made of gilt bronze in the late 20th century. Its curved and countercurved edges are typicale of the Louis XV style that highlights the use of acanthus leaves and shells for the decoration that we find here and there in this curves succession. On the central motif and on the top, we notice the presence of small roses of which the chisel quality has to be underlined as dor the rest of the Rococo decoration.

Cast iron fireback with coat of arms, 19th century

This fireback was made of cast iron in the 19th century from a 1719 model. It is adorned with a very rich decoration where we can see arms of alliance on the center held by two lions under a canopy surmounted by a duke crown and surrounded by the Saint-Louis order. We also see on the background eight flags with fleur-de-lys and on the top the date 1719.
