Leopold I fireback with two giants

18th century cast iron fireback with the arms of Leopold I (1679-1729), duke of Lorraine and of Bar. Two giants each holding a club reminiscent of Hercules, stand on Renaissance style pedestals and support the coat of arms of the Duke bearing the ducal crown. The arms reveal the different titles of Leopold I: King of Jerusalem, of Hungary and Aragon, Duke of Anjou, of Bar, of Gueldre and Juliers. More precisely from left to right and top to bottom: arms of Hungary; fleur de lys of Naples, Cross of the Kings of Jerusalem, arms of Anjou, of the house of Alsace (in the center), gold fleur de lys of Anjou, the lions of Gueldre and Juliers and finally the arms of the Duke of Bar.

Antique Louis XVI overmantel ornamented with paterae and bow

This Louis XVI style overmantel was made in the 19th century in brown painted wood and stucco. The mirror is surmonted by a bow and decorated with frieze of pearls, twisted ribbons and moldings. Paterae are making the mirror's angles concave.

It was made in the late 19th century and is also adorned with an oil on canva on which we can see a romantic scene. A young couple is dancing on a forest landscape on the foreground. They are accompanied on the background with a woman and two man sat behind them, on of them is playing some flute while the other are listening to him carefully.

Louis XVI style trumeau with roses and olive tree branches garlands

This large trumeau made of wood and stucco painted in white in the 19th century depicts a very beautiful Louis XVI style decor. Indeed, the mirror with a curved top is framed by a ridge moulding and set in an important frame with a relief decor. The mounts are adorned on the lower parts with small acanthus plants and on the upper parts with intertwined olive tree branches. The pediment shows a very beautiful roses crown hold by a ribbon on the middle and buttons on the corners.

Louis XVI style fireplace with detached columns, in Arabescato marble

Louis XVI style fireplace in Arabescato marble, featuring a straight façade and detached fluted columns with Corinthian capitals. The frieze is decorated at the center with a sculpted ribbon knot flanked by foliage in relief. Each end of the frieze rests on a fully rounded, fluted column with molded base and capital. The interior is composed of a cast iron insert adorned with garlands and medallions, typical of the second half of the 19th century. The mantel shelf follows the straight line of the composition.
