Oak paneled room from the beginning of the 20th century

Beautiful paneled room made out of oak wood during the 19th century in the Louis XV style. The panels are decorated with curved molded panels. They bear sculpted features of Rococo inspiration and of great diversity. Shells and curlicue foliage fill these panels. Very creative use of motifs used to decorate the pannels.

Important antique fireback with Jean Bouhier de Savigny coat of arms, first half of the 18th century

Importante and beautiful antique cast iron fireback with Jean Bouhier de Savigny coat of arms supported by two greyhounds. Made in the first half of the 18th century. Jean Bouhier de Savigny was President of Parliament of Burgundy since 1704. He was also a historian, translator, scholar and bibliophile. He resigned his post in Parliament in 1728 to devote himself to his historical and literary work following his election to the French Academy in 1727. He died in 1746. A similar fireback is kept at the Troyes Museum.

Antique fireback with the France coat of arms, 19th century

This antique fireback from the 19th century is adorned with the France coat of arms, the three Fleur-de-lys surmounted with the royal crown surrounded by eagles and flags. We can also read on the top the motto "Seul contre tous" making allusion to the Europe alliance against the king Louis XIV.
