This beautiful clock was made out of porcelain and gilded bronze during Napoleon III period. The porcelain dial indicates the hours with Roman numerals. It is decorated with gilded rinceaux and little enameled pearls. Under the dial, there is an open-air scenery. Three characters (two young women and un young man) with a dog are playing next to nearby a river. The sides of the clock are also decorated with similar sceneries including a goat and a sheep.
The clock is crowned by a young Bacchus sat on a barrel and holding a bunch of grapes and a goblet. It has a beautiful ornamentation made out of chiseled and gilded bronze with a frame imitating wood planks covered with vine branches. The bottom of the clock is decorated with a quiver, an arc and a torch framed by a garland of flowers.
