In good condition. Patina of the time. A slight deformation on a cup (see pictures). A sconce is missing.
Placed on top of circular Red Griotte marble bases, this pair of candlesticks was made out of gilt bronze in the 1800's. The candles are placed on either side of Bacchus and a bacchante. Bacchus, wearing an animal skin and a laurel crown, is holding his glass of wine up to the heavens. The bacchante, playing tambourine, is dancing to the music of this Bacchanal.
