This large walnut Neo-Renaissance style fireplace was made during the 19th century. The mantel is delicately carved, a leather cut feature decorates the entablature, and is elaborately decorared with a frieze of foliage sheltering chimeras. At both ends of the frieze, there are two medallions with sculpted heads, following the Renaissance style. The jambs are decorated with vases, foliage and fruit and are crowned with Corinthian capitals.
This fireplace features an enclosed overmantel mirror and fluted pilasters.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert or marble floor.
