This beautiful Louis XV style trumeau was made in the 19th century.
It is composed of a beveled mirror, underlined by a pearl frieze and set in a gilt wood and stucco frame with the superior corners broken. The high quality gilt work plays with the contrasts by alternating the matte and shiny effects on the carved decor of the frame. Projecting elements come to lighten up the decor, beautiful acanthus leaves with scrolls and flowers crowns climb along the mounts. Finally, a splendid open work shell in a decoration with the same motif is crowning it.
