This bronze statue dated from 1854 was realized by "Elkington, Mason & Co" foundry. Realized according to the "Diane of Gabies", Roman marble antic from the Louvre Museum and part of the Borghese Collection.
"Elkington and Co" was a cast manufacturer situated in Birmingham in England. Established by Georges Richard Elkington and his brother, Henry, in the 1830s, the foundry had the name of " G.R. Elkington and Co " until 1842, date in which Josiah Mason came to join to the duet. This collaboration ended in 1861. During this period, the foundry had the name of " Elkington, Mason and Co ", what thus corresponds to this statue.
