Louis XVI style Carrara marble fireplace with pilasters from the 19th century. The jambs are slightly tapered with a decor of pilasters with regular and profound fluting and are filleted a third way up. The center of the frieze and the top of the jambs are also decorated with filleted flutes, and recessed panels on either side. The use of antique architecture elements, like fluting and pilasters, along with the elegant straight lined design are typical of the Louis XVI style.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor, but they can be made to order.
