This Louis XVI period mantel was made of statuary marble in the late 18th century.
Its straight entablature is adorned on each corner with beauitful poppy flowers. It is supported by slightly curved jambs decorated on the center with a ribbon frieze.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
