This Louis XV style mantel with three shells was carved in Carrara marble in the second half of the 19th century. The entablature is adorned with a large shell. The hearth opening is underlined by a continuous molding. The console shaped curved jambs are topped with upside down shells and rest on square bases.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
