This important Louis XV style mantel was made of Carrara marble in the late 19th century.
It shows a rich sculpted decoration on its curved shape. The serpentine entablature is adorned on its center with a beautiful palm in an acanthus leaves and flowers surrounding underlined by an oblong moulding which goes down the jambs. The curved jambs are also adorned with a beautiful palm and small garlands flowers.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
