This Louis XV-style fireplace has a curved shape, both in the band and the leg. The contours of the lower part of the band are marked by three curved lines that accentuate its shape. More discreetly, moldings align with these contours and follow the shape of the band. At the center of the band, we discover a large central palmette surrounded by scrolls recreating the shell motif used in the Louis XV style. Attached to the palmette are acanthus leaves and small flowers with their leaves.
The legs are curved, with the console part of the leg hollowed out and the rest of the leg convex. The console part is hollowed out by three flutes surrounded by scrolls. Small flowers and leaves develop from the end of the scrolls. The rest of the fluted leg unrolls, ending in a scroll from which a palm leaf emerges.
This fireplace comes with an original cast-iron interior. The contours of this interior are made of friezes. On the remaining surface, the interior is adorned with ovals, intertwining stems, leaves, and scrolls.
This fireplace is characterized by its immaculate black marble, contrasting with the black of the cast-iron interior. The fireplace's smooth, black marble easily reflects the light, contrasting with the cast iron with its small details and rougher texture, which catches the light on smaller aspects.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
