Black Marquina marble fireplace, made in the 19th century in a style inspired by Louis XVI. The piece features a sober and balanced composition, with straight lines and restrained ornamentation. The frieze is adorned at its center with a carved floral motif in relief, echoed on the corner blocks of the jambs, offering a touch of decoration without excess. The black marble, veined with white, lends the whole an understated elegance while subtly highlighting the volumes. A representative example of decorative production from the second half of the 19th century, combining classical rigor with an appreciation for fine materials.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
