Pair of armchairs in black-stained beechwood, finely carved to depict two iconic Japanese deities: Ebisu, holding a carp and a fishing basket, and Daikoku, resting on his magical mallet (uchide no kozuchi), a symbol of wealth and prosperity. These figures belong to the group of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) in Japanese tradition.
